The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is a 2008 drama based on the novel of the same name by Irish writer John Boyne.
A Holocaust drama, the film explores the horror of a World War II extermination camp through the eyes of two eight-year-old boys, one the son of the camp’s Nazi commandant, the other a Jewish inmate.
This movie made me cried so hard and took my breath away. This is one of the best movies I’ve ever watched. This movie made me realized that, we don’t need to be same or different, rich or poor, girl, boy, lesbian or gay, we don’t need to think about those kind of things to meet a good friend. Just like the two innocent kids in this film, they think with no boundaries and they don’t even care about what’s going on between their different nations, they don’t even care if they must be an enemy & not a friend.
This is just so sad because of those innocent Jewish people being prisoned, slaved, or even being killed by the Nazi. It’s a war, but that war isn’t fair, they involved those innocent people, the old ones & the young ones. Oh well, I don’t want to spoil the movie, but I swear, this is very beautiful yet so sad.
